College Park High School Senior Pictures at Mercer Botanic Gardens | Cristina
Sometimes all you need for senior pictures is one outfit, a beautiful location, and a little time to explore.
Cristina, a senior at The Woodlands College Park High School, wanted to keep her session simple. She chose the cutest pink and white peplum top, distressed jeans, and Adidas sneakers, and we headed to Mercer Botanic Gardens for her senior portraits.
I loved how relaxed and effortless her look was!
Senior Pictures at Mercer Botanic Gardens
Mercer Botanic Gardens is such a beautiful location for senior photography in the Greater Houston area. Between the lush greenery, garden paths, and variety of natural backdrops, there's so much to work with.
We explored different areas of the gardens throughout Cristina's session, finding new backgrounds and little pockets of pretty light along the way.
And that's one of the reasons I love locations like Mercer. Even with just one outfit, we can create a gallery with plenty of variety.
Cristina's pink and white top looked especially pretty against the greenery, and her jeans and sneakers kept everything casual and comfortable.
Meet Cristina | College Park High School Senior
Cristina is involved in Student Council and Rho Kappa at College Park High School.
After graduation, she's planning to attend college. She hasn't settled on a major just yet, but she's interested in wildlife biology or zoology, which I think is such a fascinating direction to explore!
Before every senior session, I send out a questionnaire to learn a little more about the person I'll be photographing. One of my favorite questions asks seniors what they consider their best features.
Cristina said her favorite physical feature is her curly hair. And when it comes to her personality, she described herself as understanding.
I loved both answers. Her curls are beautiful, and I think there's something really sweet about recognizing kindness and understanding as one of your best qualities.
One Outfit, Plenty of Variety
Not every senior wants multiple outfits or several locations, and that's completely fine.
Cristina's session is a great example of how much variety we can capture while keeping things simple.
By changing backgrounds, finding different light, and mixing traditional portraits with more relaxed poses, we can create a gallery that feels complete without making the experience complicated.
The goal isn't to turn senior pictures into a production. It's to capture this season of life in a way that feels comfortable and true to you.
