Where are you located and do you travel?
I am based in The Woodlands, Texas, and photograph families throughout the surrounding area and Greater Houston. Locations more than 20 miles from 77380 are subject to a $0.50-per-mile travel fee.
Where do you take family pictures in The Woodlands?
The Woodlands has so many beautiful options for family photography, and I'll help you choose a location that fits your family and the feel you're envisioning. Some of my favorite areas include The Woodlands Waterway, Hughes Landing, Market Street, Rob Fleming Park, and other beautiful outdoor locations throughout The Woodlands and surrounding communities.
I especially love locations that give us a variety of backdrops and room to let your family interact naturally rather than keeping everyone posed in one spot. The best location will depend on your family's style, the ages of your children and the type of images you're hoping to create. If you don't have a location in mind, that's completely okay—I have plenty of suggestions!
Do you photograph families in their homes?
Absolutely. In-home family photography is one of my favorite ways to document a family's everyday connection, especially for newborns and families with young children. There is something incredibly meaningful about photographs in the place where your family actually lives, laughs, snuggles and makes memories together.
Your home doesn't need to be perfectly decorated or magazine-worthy. I look for the spaces with the best natural light and let the session unfold naturally. We might cuddle on the couch, read a favorite book, make breakfast together, play in the kids' rooms or simply enjoy time together as a family. The goal isn't perfection—it's capturing the little moments that make your family yours.

What should we wear for family pictures?
The most important thing is to choose clothing that feels like you and allows everyone to be comfortable and move naturally. I generally recommend coordinating rather than matching. Start with one outfit you love, then build the rest of the family's clothing around complementary colors, textures and tones.
Soft neutrals, earthy tones and muted colors tend to photograph beautifully, but your family's wardrobe doesn't have to fit a particular “Pinterest” aesthetic. Adding texture through sweaters, linen, denim or subtle layers can create beautiful dimension, while avoiding large logos, neon colors and overly busy patterns helps keep the focus on your family.
And don't worry if styling your family feels overwhelming! I'll help you think through outfits and make recommendations during the planning process so that everyone looks cohesive without looking overly coordinated.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You do not. While I highly recommend using my professional lab for the BEST quality of your images, you are welcome to print at a lab of your choice.

My sessions are designed to be a mix of gently guided poses and natural interactions. I’ll give you simple directions, like holding hands and walking together or sharing a big family hug, but I’ll also encourage playfulness and laughter. These candid moments often become the most cherished memories captured in your photos.
For kids, I like to keep things fun and engaging—whether it’s playing a quick game, telling jokes, or letting them show off their favorite stuffed animal. If little ones need a quick break, that’s totally fine! We’ll go with the flow to keep the experience stress-free.
