Senior pictures for guys don't have to be complicated. In fact, some of my favorite sessions are the ones where we keep things simple, find a great location, and focus on capturing who they really are.
I recently photographed a senior from St. Thomas High School in Houston, and we headed to Cypress, Texas, for his senior portraits.

One of the things I love about photographing high school senior guys is keeping the experience relaxed. Not every senior is excited about spending an hour in front of a camera, and that's perfectly okay!
My approach is to offer enough direction that nobody feels awkward or unsure of what to do, while still leaving room for natural expressions and personality.
Senior pictures should look and feel like the person you're photographing. They don't need to be overly styled or full of complicated poses.
Celebrating Senior Year at St. Thomas High School
Graduating from high school is a pretty big deal. It's the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, and I love helping families document that milestone.
Whether a senior wants a handful of classic portraits or a session with a little more variety, my goal is always to create photographs that both the senior and his family will love.
