As a photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing Julia and Allen's love story through their engagement photography session. From the moment I met them, it was evident that their connection was something special.
Julia and Allen's story began over 20 years ago when they first met at church. Fast forward and they've now been dating for about 2 years. It was on the rooftop of Post HTX where Allen surprised Julia with a proposal, just as the sun was setting. Julia thought they were there to celebrate Allen's birthday, so it was a moment filled with sweet surprise.
One of their daily pastimes is walking in the park at sunset, where they have been greeted by a deer who comes out to eat. This friendly visitor has become a beloved part of their walks, and they lovingly refer to him as their 'dear friend'.
Beyond their shared walks, Julia and Allen find joy in various activities. They enjoy eating, watching K-dramas or a good movie, cooking together, and most importantly, worshipping together. Their shared faith is a cornerstone of their relationship.
Julia is enchanted by Allen's heart of worship for the Lord, as well as his honesty and integrity. Allen, on the other hand, admires Julia's own heart for the Lord and her talent for playing the piano. They also appreciate the fact that they think similarly, which adds an extra layer of understanding and connection.
When it came to their engagement photography session, Julia and Allen wanted the images to reflect their love in a natural, loving, warm, and romantic way. They wanted the photos to capture the essence of their relationship, showcasing their genuine connection and the way they make each other laugh.
To fulfill their vision, we decided to start our session at the Menil Collection museum. The museum's serene and intimate atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the quiet moments between Julia and Allen. From there, we moved on to the rooftop at Post HTX, where we were greeted by a breathtaking bright orange sunset. The warm colors of the sky perfectly mirrored the warmth of their love for each other.
Throughout our time together, the atmosphere was both playful and romantic. Julia and Allen's natural chemistry made it easy to capture candid and authentic moments. Every photo seemed to tell a story of their love, highlighting the depth of their connection.
