In-Home Newborn Photography in Willis, TX | A Sweet New Chapter
Some photography sessions feel a little more personal than others. This was definitely one of them.
I've had the privilege of photographing this sweet family for years, beginning with mom's senior pictures. Since then, I've photographed their proposal, engagement, wedding, maternity session, and now their first baby boy.
There's something really special about watching a couple's story unfold through my camera. And getting to meet their three-week-old son at their home in Willis, Texas, was such a joy.

For their newborn session, we kept things simple and relaxed, photographing them in and around their ranch-style home in Willis.
We started inside, finding a few beautiful pockets of natural light near a window and in the stairwell. Then we moved outside, where the front doorway and porch gave us the prettiest backdrop for their first family portraits.
I especially loved the photographs on the porch. There was something so fitting about capturing these brand-new parents holding their baby boy right outside the home where they're beginning this next chapter together.
Nothing elaborate or overly styled. Just the three of them, soaking up these first few weeks as a family.
The Beauty of Lifestyle Newborn Photography
One of my favorite things about in-home newborn sessions is that they don't have to look a certain way.
Not every home has floor-to-ceiling windows or rooms filled with natural light. And that's perfectly fine. Sometimes the best photographs happen in an unexpected spot, like a stairwell, a doorway, or a quiet corner of the porch.
This session was such a sweet reminder of that.
At three weeks old, their little guy was still so tiny, and these photographs are all about remembering this fleeting season. The way he fit in their arms, the closeness between the three of them, and the excitement of finally having him here.
That's what I want families to remember when they look back at their newborn photographs years from now.

From Senior Pictures to Their First Family Portraits
This is the part of my job that I don't think I'll ever take for granted.
I first photographed this new mama when she was a high school senior. At the time, neither of us knew how many more milestones I'd have the opportunity to document.
A proposal. An engagement. A wedding. The anticipation of their first baby during their maternity session. And now, their son.
It's pretty incredible when you think about it.
Photography has always been about more than creating beautiful images for me. It's about the people, the relationships, and the stories that continue long after a session ends.
Being invited back into someone's life, year after year, is one of the greatest compliments I could receive.
I'm so grateful to this family for trusting me with so many of their most meaningful memories.
