I just had the most amazing weekend photographing Emily and Seth's wedding, and I couldn't wait to tell you all about it! Seriously, it was like something out of a fairytale. The whole day was just utter perfection, exactly what this couple had hoped for. All they wanted was for everything to run smoothly, and let me tell you, it did! Emily's main focus was on Seth and having all their loved ones surrounding them, and she got exactly that.
Now, let me fill you in on their proposal story because it's just too cute not to share. So, picture this - they were out fishing in Broken Bow (I know, right?), and Emily's fishing line got all tangled up. She thought she had ruined the whole trip, but Seth, being the incredible guy he is, started searching in the water for that one important piece that had dropped. And boy, did he find it! While Emily was busy trying to compose herself, he got down on one knee and said the most beautiful words: "I will forever untangle your messes, will you marry me?" I mean, come on, can it get any sweeter than that?!
Now I have to talk about the wedding itself because it was pure magic. The colors they chose - navy, dusty blue, gold, white, and a bit of green - created such an elegant vibe. And let me tell you, Emily looked absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero Fernanda gown from Belvieu Bridal. She was just glowing! Oh, and don't even get me started on her heels by Betsy Johnson. Talk about adding some serious style to the whole ensemble. Later in the evening, she changed into sneakers by the same designer, and let me tell you, it was not only adorable but also super practical for hitting the dance floor.
Speaking of the dance floor, the reception was a total blast! Emily and Seth wanted it to feel like a legit party, and that's exactly what it was. The groom and groomsmen, being Texas State alumni, even treated everyone to a few chants that were equal parts foul and funny. It had everyone laughing and cheering! And when it came to dancing, well, let's just say nobody held back. It was so much fun capturing those joyous moments on camera.
Overall, it was a day filled with so much love, warmth, and authenticity. The connection between Emily and Seth was palpable, and I was privileged to be a part of capturing their intimate moments. I just love being a wedding photographer and getting to witness such beautiful stories unfold.
