As I sit here, reminiscing on this joy-filled and playful wedding day at the Pattison House, I can't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. As a photographer, I have the privilege of capturing moments of pure love and happiness, and this wedding was no exception. The colors of the day, sage green, champagne, white, and light pink, perfectly set the tone for a day filled with warmth and romance.

It was beautiful to witness the love story that brought this couple together. Meeting on Bumble, the modern way, their connection was instant. The bride shared with me a special moment from their journey, "We went to Disneyland with my family (my favorite place ever!) And he proposed to me in front of the castle. Afterward, we drove back to AZ and celebrated NYE with all our friends (who traveled from Houston)." It was clear that these two were meant to be.

The couple had a clear vision for their wedding day - FUN! The bride's goal was to celebrate from the very beginning and to keep the positive vibes flowing all day long. She wanted to have one-on-one time with each bridesmaid as they got ready, not only for pictures but to truly connect and share in the anticipation of the day. And of course, she wanted the ceremony to be a massive party. Their desire was for the day to feel like a loving gathering, a great time for all!

One of the most memorable moments of the day was the first dance. Ashley and Luke surprised everyone with a choreographed routine that left the guests in awe. It was a perfect representation of their playful and joy-filled spirits. As I captured their dance, I couldn't help but smile, feeling incredibly lucky to witness such intimate and heartfelt moments.

The wedding party was a sight to behold. With 12 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen, it felt like a big party, filled with endless laughter and cutting up. The love and support surrounding the couple on their special day were truly heartwarming. As a photographer, it was a delight to capture the candid moments of pure joy and connection between friends and family.

Reflecting on my personal journey as a photographer, this wedding reinforced my belief that capturing love is a privilege and an art. It is not just about taking beautiful pictures; it is about being present in the moment, feeling the emotions, and immortalizing the essence of a couple's love story. My growth in this field has been shaped by the experiences I have shared with couples like Ashley and Luke, and I am forever grateful for the trust they place in me to capture their most precious moments.

This wedding day at the Pattison House will forever hold a special place in my heart. It reminded me of the power of love and the importance of celebrating it in all its forms. From the heartfelt proposal at Disneyland to the lively first dance, this day was a testament to the joy, playfulness, warmth, and romance that exists in every love story. As a photographer, I am honored to be a part of such magical and cherished moments, and I can't wait to continue capturing love in all its glory.

We highly recommend the Pattison House and the venue's stunning outdoor spaces. The open-air event space under the live oaks, as well as the patio and gazebo overlooking the beautiful pond, provide a picturesque backdrop for any occasion. Additionally, the newly renovated indoor space, which is air-conditioned, and the 100+ year old chapel offer versatile options for hosting events of different sizes and styles. They have put great effort into ensuring that every detail is taken care of to make the day relaxed and special for couples and their families. We invite you to experience The Pattison House not just as a place, but as an unforgettable experience.
